About Dechen Lin

“Every song is a memory waiting to bloom.”

Dechen Lin is a singer-songwriter and music producer from China, currently pursuing a dual major in Songwriting and Professional Music at Berklee College of Music. Dechen blends Chinese music with electronic elements,writes songs in C-Pop, ballad, and R&B styles. She writes music in order to heal and touch others who have suffered from pain.

Dechen has had extensive performance experience  both as a vocalist and pianist. Since holding her first solo concert at the age of 17. She has performed at the Midi Festival—one of China's top music festivals with an audience of about 10,0000. In 2016, she performed as a pianist with the China National Symphony Orchestra at the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing in 2018.

Dechen plans to release her first EP, “盛放的月季花Blossom" at the end of 2026. "Blossom" features five original tracks, continuing Dechen Lin's signature style that emphasizes melody and emotional expression. Utilizing strings, piano, and synthesizers, the EP conveys her reflections and feelings regarding five stories she has encountered, aiming to offer listeners an immersive experience and inspire deep contemplation about life.

During her time at Berklee, Dechen has earned a four-year scholarship and consistently made the Dean's List. Additionally, Dechen has competed in vocal, piano, and marching percussion. For piano, she won a Gold Award at the Beijing regional National Youth Piano Competition.
